We’re used to Japanese phones having insane specifications, but this time we’re treated to a phone that doesn’t boast any earth shattering specifications, though it does look really cool. We’re talking about the Sony Ericsson Xmini, which has been added to Japan’s KDDI au’s CDMA lineup.
In most parts of the world, the cute little device you’re looking at here would pass as a perfectly acceptable Walkman. In Japan, though, it’s more than just a Walkman — it’s a Walkman phone, people. The Sony Ericsson Xmini has been added to KDDI au’s CDMA-based lineup, measuring just 75 x 44 x 18mm and tossing aside the usual barrage of 8-megapixel cameras and wide VGA displays for a mere 320 x 240 screen and 4GB of on-board memory. When closed, its colorful chin reveals music controls; opened, the whole thing morphs into a tiny handset — and a refreshing change of pace from the giant clamshells those poor souls on KDDI are usually subject to, may we add.

This slider phone should more precisely go in category of Linux based music phone because of its high multimedia features. MotoRokr EM35 runs on Montavista Linux & offers various features like scroll interface, a 3MP camera, USB, and Bluetooth. Most notable feature undoubtedly is music playback which includes virtual surround effects.

Seems there is so much buzz in the smartphone market that no OEM is leaving pages unturned. So here comes from the giant of all NOKIA , its new NOKIA N97 . This year’s NOKIA WORLD conference in Barcelona Spain gets kicked off with announcement of NOKIA N97 multimedia computer.
Supposed to be an IPhone killer this NOKIA N97 phone has a 3.5 inch touchscreen similar to IPhone & an slideout keyboard like T Mobile Android based G1. Meant for high speed web access it also integrates power of Web 2.0 with one button acces to Scial Networking media like facebook.It also has features like GPS (Nokia Maps) , photo-sharing services and music downloads through is next generation Ovi Platform. The interesting feature in NOKIA maps is the option of planning your journey though Nokia maps.
Another useful feature where the device have an edge over IPhone is its 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics. Nokia N97 also has 32GB onboard flash memory with microSD for adding 16GB more .
This small computer Nokia N97 is really a big release of this year. Phone will be available in early quarters of 2009 & a contracted version should cost around £470.

The unique feature about Qigi i6 smartphone is it being available in other much flavor of Windows Mobile 6.1. So for the geek who can play a little with boot loaders can get the phone having dual boot mechanism. The touchscreen Qigi i6 is brought by collaboration of TechFaith Wireless and QIGI, the two chinese companies. This quadra band phone also features 2MP camera with GPS & SD SLOT.
